It has been twelve years since TSI was certified as a Service Supplier of the Classification Society Bureau Veritas, becoming the first company to be authorised to perform Vibration and Noise Measurements for Bureau Veritas class notation in accordance with the Bureau Veritas Standard: “Classification of Steel Ships, Part E, Chapter 6 Comfort on Board“. Since 2012, TSI has continued to be certified with the main classification societies such as Bureau Veritas (BV), Det Norske Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)…, to carry out comfort measurements on ships and ensure their compliance with the standards of habitability and well-being. The notation of comfort class on a ship refers to a classification established by Classification Societies to assess and certify that the ship has been designed and equipped to offer a high level of habitability and comfort to both passengers and crew. The class rating measures assess a number of factors that affect the well-being of passengers and the well-being and occupational safety of the crew in their working environment. The main factors assessed in the Comfort Class Notation are noise, vibration, air quality, temperature and lighting. TSI is also certified to perform Radiated Noise to Water (URN) measurements, this classification awarded by the Classification Societies assesses and certifies the level of noise a vessel emits into the marine environment. This notation is particularly important in the context of preserving marine life and minimising the environmental impact of maritime operations.
At TSI, in addition to measuring and evaluating comfort parameters, we carry out analyses, make recommendations in the event of non-compliance, offer consultancy to meet the requirements of the Classification Societies.
