TSI was present last Thursday, September 23, and Friday, September 24, at the ENERMAR 2021 Marine Energies Congress. The event is organized by the PAT-18 working group of COIN and took place at the Niemeyer Center in Avilés (Asturias, Spain).

Following the event’s opening, TSI presented in PANEL 1 of the congress alongside BV and DNV, titled “Marine Renewable Energies and Hydrogen Generation.” This presentation, led by our Innovation and R&D Manager, Alfonso Jurado Fuentes, focused on the OCEANH2 project and TSI’s efforts in the design, development, implementation, and validation of a monitoring system for a global hybrid infrastructure for the generation, storage, and distribution of green hydrogen through offshore wind and solar renewable energy sources. The OCEANH2 project is coordinated by Acciona Industrial and involves the participation of seven other companies, including Acciona Construcción, Acciona Ingeniería, Redexis, Wunder-Hexicon, Ariema, Bluenewables, and TSI, as well as 12 Public Research Organizations. The OCEANH2 project (MIG-20201001) is subsidized by CDTI (Center for Industrial Technological Development) through the MISSIONS program.

In addition to this panel, the event featured five other panels related to the use and application of marine renewable energies. Alongside these technical panels, two roundtable discussions were held with significant stakeholders in the sector, such as Iberdrola, Acciona Ingeniería AEE, IDEA, Navantia, Windar, or Saitec, among others. These roundtables were “Vision of Developing Companies and the Administration” (Roundtable 1) and “Vision of the Supply Chain and Technologists” (Roundtable 2).

TSI was pleased to participate in this excellent annual event where companies in the offshore renewables sector in Spain showcase their milestones, latest advances, and perspectives to enhance the competitiveness of developing companies and the associated supply chain.

TSI expresses gratitude to the organizers for their efforts to ensure the success of the event. The return to normalcy after COVID begins by reclaiming events like this, demonstrating the strength of the Spanish renewable and engineering sector.
