Objectives:
This course provides specialised training in noise and vibration control on board vessels, focusing on vessel design, construction, and operation in accordance with current environmental regulations and technical standards.
The course reviews the latest international regulations, standards, and guidelines related to noise and vibration in marine environments, with particular emphasis on reducing the environmental impact of vessels.
Fundamental concepts of noise and vibration on board ships are addressed, followed by practical guidance on the identification, analysis, and mitigation of typical noise and vibration problems affecting vessels and onboard equipment.
The application of Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) techniques is also reviewed as a key methodology for reducing operational costs, improving reliability, and supporting long-term compliance with noise and vibration requirements.
Aimed at:
Technical staff from shipyards, maintenance technicians, sales and specification departments, procurement and supply chain professionals, technical offices, project engineers, and inspectors involved in vessel design, construction, or operation.
No prior knowledge or previous experience in noise and vibration analysis is required.
