The University of Cádiz includes a series of conferences entitled “Cavitation in Marine propellers and its control” on March 2, 2023. Professionals from the sector will meet in the Graduate Hall of the UCA School of Naval and Ocean Engineering and people interested in this phenomenon. The intention of these conferences is to gather knowledge about the phenomenon of cavitation and capture different lines of action against it.

From Técnicas y Servicios de Ingeniería, S.L we have joined to contribute our investigations around cavitation and present our innovative non-intrusive cavitation detection system, in which we have been working for several years, and we continue investigating to improve its functionalities accordingly. to the requirements of the naval sector. D. Publio Beltrán, general director of TSI and a professional with more than 40 years of experience in the sector, will oversee the first presentation under the title “The great challenge of propeller cavitation in Naval construction: its control in through the innovative Ni-CDS, Non-Intrusive Cavitation Detection System”. At the conference, Publio Beltrán will explain the main problems that arise from this phenomenon and an innovative solution to mitigate its consequences.

Furthermore, Mr. Eduardo Minguito Cardeña, retired head of the NAVANTIA Testing and New Technologies Department, will oversee the second presentation of the event entitled: “Cavitation in Marine Propellers”. Where he will explain, after his extensive experience in this sector and because of the learning acquired in his job, the conclusions drawn about cavitation in marine propellers.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will last approximately 2 hours. The agenda is made up of two presentations by professionals with extensive experience in the field of cavitation.
