A day to celebrate maritime tradition and excellence in the maritime and naval industry<\/h2>\n

Every year on 16 July<\/strong>, Spain celebrates Carmen Day<\/strong>, one of the most significant dates in the country’s maritime calendar. Our Lady of Mount Carmel<\/strong>, the patron saint of seafarers, has long symbolised protection for sailors, fishermen and all those whose lives and professions are connected to the sea. Originating from the Carmelite Order established on Mount Carmel, this tradition has become deeply rooted in Spain, where many coastal communities commemorate the occasion with maritime processions and tributes to those who work at sea.<\/p>\n

At TSI | T\u00e9cnicas y Servicios de Ingenier\u00eda<\/strong>, we are proud to join this celebration as part of an industry committed to safety, innovation and the continued advancement of the maritime and naval sectors.<\/p>\n

This year’s Carmen Day has been especially meaningful for our company. Our founder, Publio Beltr\u00e1n<\/strong>, has been awarded the Commemorative Medal marking the 50th anniversary of his Naval Engineering graduating class<\/strong>, a distinction granted by the Official Association of Naval and Oceanic Engineers<\/strong> in recognition of a professional career defined by commitment, leadership and excellence.<\/p>\n

This honour celebrates more than five decades of dedication to naval engineering and reflects the values that continue to guide TSI today: technical excellence, innovation, close collaboration with our clients and a constant commitment to delivering value through engineering.<\/p>\n

Publio Beltr\u00e1n’s career is an integral part of our company’s history and continues to inspire new generations of professionals who work every day to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving industry.<\/p>\n

We congratulate Publio Beltr\u00e1n on this well-deserved recognition and sincerely thank the Official Association of Naval and Oceanic Engineers for this distinction, which is a source of great pride for our entire organisation.<\/p>\n

On this special occasion, we also extend our appreciation to all the professionals working across the maritime and naval sectors, whose expertise and dedication contribute every day to the progress of an industry that is essential to our economy and society.<\/p>\n

There are challenges within the maritime sector that remain largely unseen, yet their impact is becoming increasingly evident. Underwater Radiated Noise (URN) is one of them. At OCEANOISE 2026, we had the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in underwater radiated noise, its consequences, and its growing impact on the marine environment. The increase in global shipping traffic over recent decades has contributed to rising noise levels in the oceans, affecting marine species that rely on sound for communication, navigation, and feeding.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result, international organisations and regulatory bodies around the world are paying increasing attention to this issue, and all indications suggest that reducing underwater radiated noise will play an increasingly important role in future maritime regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new training cycle of specialized courses delivered by TSI will begin next February<\/strong> at our headquarters in Madrid, launching the training programme planned for 2026<\/strong>. The training period will run until November, although we also offer adapted courses that can be scheduled at the date and location chosen by the client.<\/p>\r\n

Our training programmes provide direct access to TSI\u2019s expert support team, enabling the resolution of special cases and the development of tailored proposals based on real project needs. In addition, attending any of our courses significantly improves operators\u2019 day-to-day efficiency and increases the reliability of vibration and noise measurements.<\/p>\r\n
