Unique work in the development of much more sustainable tidal turbine blades.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#EMLES<\/strong> is focused on the<strong> #research<\/strong> and <strong>#development<\/strong> of new materials &#8211; processes for the manufacture of tidal turbine blades, redefining renewable energy through the adoption of advanced composite materials and optimised processes. In addition, the project has overcome significant challenges in the geometry and fabrication of the demonstrators. Nothing simple, right?<\/p>\n<p><strong>This project specialises in improving the sustainability and efficiency of tidal turbines<\/strong>, minimising environmental impact and optimising performance. This is achieved through research into advanced composite materials, optimisation of blade geometry and collaboration with experts in manufacturing and structural design<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"ck-headline ck-headline--colour-one\"><span style=\"color: #64a70b;\">What are the key objectives?\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Improve fibre shipbuilding production.<\/li>\n<li>Improve the quality of the ships produced.<\/li>\n<li>Minimise the environmental impact of shipbuilding.<\/li>\n<li>Minimise the cost of shipbuilding.<\/li>\n<li>Technologies exportable to other sectors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"KqkLtHqAAjXOQRTERvGIXAwOeCherHGIRUU \" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/tsisl\/\" target=\"_self\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">TSI -T\u00e9cnicas y Servicios de Ingenier\u00eda S.L.-<\/a>\u00a0 is part of the consortium of this unique project that started within the framework of PERTE NAVAL. We actively participated by contributing our knowledge in the structural design. In addition, our knowledge has contributed to the definition of details of the manufacturing process, and definition of the scope of the demonstrators.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-40629\" src=\"https:\/\/tsisl.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/EMLES-PROYECTO-PERTE-NAVAL-1-1024x128.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1288\" height=\"161\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Latest advances in the project:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Optimal performance with the study and implementation of the most suitable geometry.<\/li>\n<li>Successful fabrication of the project&#8217;s demonstrator base.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EMLES has overcome major challenges in difficult marine environments:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The initial blade geometry did not meet the project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining sufficient quantities of some of the selected materials.<\/li>\n<li>Compatibility between the resin and the gel-coat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The project is currently in the finalisation phase, finalising details such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Definition of the details of the manufacturing process.<\/li>\n<li>Definition of the scope of the demonstrators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This recognition is a reflection of the #effort and #commitment of the whole consortium, formed by <strong>INPRE COMPOSITES, CRAMIX and GAIKER<\/strong>. At TSI, we are very proud to contribute to the advancement of tidal energy towards a more sustainable and innovative future.
