TSI was participating last Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th September 2021 at the Marine Energies conference ENERMAR 2021 (https://lnkd.in/dwi8esFw), which is organised by the PAT-18 working group of the COIN each year, taking place at the Niemeyer Centre in Avilés (Asturias, Spain).
Thus, after the opening of the event, TSI presented along with BV and DNV in PANEL 1 of the conference, entitled “Marine Renewable Energies and Hydrogen Generation“. This presentation, made by our head of Innovation and R&D, Alfonso Jurado, was focused on the OCEANH2 project and the work that TSI is carrying out in relation to the design, development, implementation and validation of a monitoring system for a global hybrid infrastructure for the generation, storage and distribution of green hydrogen thanks to the obtaining of offshore wind and solar renewable energy. The project is coordinated by Acciona Industrial and involves 7 other companies such as Acciona Construction, Acciona Engineering, Redexis, Wunder-Hexicon, Ariema, Bluenewables and TSI, as well as 12 Public Research Bodies. The OCEANH2 project (MIG-20201001) is a project funded by the CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology) through the R&D MISIONES programme.
Furthermore, the event had 5 other panels related to the use and application of marine renewable energies. In addition to these technical panels, two round tables were held with important stakeholders from the sector such as Iberdrola, Acciona Ingeniería AEE, IDEA, Navantia, Windar and Saitec, among others. These round tables were the following ones: “Vision of the development companies and the Administration” (Round table 1) and “Vision of the supply chain and technologists” (Round table 2).
For TSI it was a pleasure to be able to participate in this outstanding annual event in which companies in the offshore renewables sector in Spain show their milestones, latest advances and points of view to increase the competence of developers and the associated supply chain.
TSI would like to thank the organisers for their efforts in making the event a resounding success. The return to normality after COVID pandemic starts by recovering events like this one in which the muscle of the Spanish renewable and engineering sector is shown.
