The first LNG handed over by IZAR, complies with the demanding “comfort class” requirements, as far as Noise and Vibration is concerned: Another technical problem solved for the achievement of the super-cruiser.

LNG’s vessels “IÑIGO TAPIAS” and “Castillo de Villalba” Building No.387 of IZAR-SHIPYARD SESTAO and No. 87 IZAR- Puerto Real shipyard, have achieved these results during sea trial tests:

  • Maximum vibration levels obtained in cabins and work areas, in both vessels have not exceeded 3 mm / s (0-p).
  • Accommodation Noise Levels around 45 dB (A).
  • Vibration levels in Engine Rooms – below 1.3 mm / s (0-p).

For not skilled note that the lower limit established by the ISO-6954 standards, is 4 mm / s (0-p) and the Class Comfort required in some Cruise set levels of 3 mm / s (0-p).) Maybe we can arouse their curiosity about the “Technical Resources and Methodology”, brought into play by both shipyards, to achieve so as successful, these difficult objectives.
